Patricia (Pat) A. Bosse is a founding partner of MPK&D, a higher education consulting firm. After 30 years as an advancement and marketing executive in higher education and health care, Pat now leads a hand-picked team of consultants to enable national nonprofit organizations to set and achieve transformational institutional goals. She specializes in comprehensive campaign strategy and planning, board development, strategic planning, and campaign and institutional branding. At MPK&D, Pat has helped clients with market research, strategic communications and crisis management as well.
With an affinity for distinctive mission-driven institutions, Pat’s clients include women’s colleges and universities, HBCUs, national non-profit organizations and state university professional schools.
Pat’s personal and professional working style enables her to develop trust with important constituents. She works directly with chancellors, presidents, vice presidents and CEOs to ensure that their vision is realized through partnership with MPK&D.
Pat has spearheaded planning for college and university campaigns with goals from $30 million to $150 million, guiding them from significant lead gifts to achieving and often to exceeding goals.
For each project, Pat gathers a customized team of seasoned professionals, many of whom have worked together for decades, to expertly meet client needs. She works closely with MPK&D’s three additional co-founders, each of whom is a president-emeritus of an independent college or university.
Pat is a board member of Faraja Primary School, the first accredited school in Tanzania for children with physical disabilities. Her connection with this ground-breaking school began more than 10 years ago and provides ongoing inspiration for her work. Pat and her husband, Frank Gunther, live in rural Maryland.
