MPK&D is honored to work with the Wind River Tribal Buffalo Initiative, a recent recipient of $9.8 million in federal funds to support the construction of a Tribal Buffalo Center at WRTBI’s headquarters in Morton, Wyoming as part of a $36 million grant supporting economic development on the Wind River Reservation. The cover story of this week’s Chronicle of Philanthropy magazine features WRTBI Executive Director Jason Baldes and focuses on the importance and impact of — and gaps within — rural philanthropic investments.
This landmark achievement will advance WRTBI’s visionary work to restore buffalo to Tribal land and advance community revitalization, youth programming and rematriation of land on the Wind River Reservation. Learn more about Wind River Tribal Buffalo Initiative on their website.
