“Presidents growing older, serving less time in positions,” by Education Dive author James Paterson, addresses the challenges faced by college presidents and the shifting trends and demographics that are resulting in dramatic changes in college presidential tenure.

Addressing college president resignations in the article, Dr. Seurkamp offers: “It is more challenging. There are many more claims on their time. You have to be available 24-7. Competition is tight and so is money. There are more demands of government, and Title IX institutions have more to worry about.”
