“Boundless Opportunities: The Campaign for MSU Texas,” a publication produced by MPK&D, won two awards at PGAMA’s (Printing and Graphics Association Mid-Atlantic) Excellence in Print 2018 at a ceremony in late March. The book won awards in the categories of “Best 4-Color Reproduction,” the category it was entered in, and “Judge’s Choice,” which was shared with another local printer.
Printing Specialist Corporation in Glen Burnie, Md. digitally printed the oversized publication, with the firm also winning six additional best of category awards and the Digital Q, one of the top three PGAMA honors.
MPK&D worked closely with the Campaign Steering Committee at MSU Texas in Wichita Falls, Texas to develop ideas that set the direction for a suite of materials, including the campaign book, for MSU’s comprehensive capital campaign. With the steering committee, MPK&D developed the campaign’s strategy, branding and identity, and partnered design and content with stellar photographs mined from MSU’s marketing department.
PGAMA’s Excellence in Print Awards are judged by a committee of graphic arts experts from outside the region who evaluate the quality of printing, including degree of difficulty and technical expertise.
