ROBERT J DI VITO, J.D., CFRE has over 25 years’ experience working with large regional and local health care organizations, nonprofits (legal, social service and aviation), for-profits and governmental entities. Robert’s most recent full-time position was with the MedStar Health Office of Philanthropy based in Columbia, Md., where he served as the regional philanthropy leader for philanthropy services and programs. Under his leadership, MedStar successfully redesigned and implemented its strategic and operational fundraising activities which strengthened its position with past, current and potential donors. He was also a member of the philanthropy executive team which was responsible for overall fundraising, resulting in $138.6M in three years.
Prior to MedStar Health, Robert was the chief operating officer of the Piedmont Healthcare Foundation in Atlanta. He led several key programs within the Foundation, including donor relations, sustained giving and e-philanthropy, outreach coordination, database integrity, office administration, finance, concierge services, 60+ older adult services, and archives. He was a key contributor to raising $27M in new contributions in 3.5 years. Robert holds a law degree from Thomas M. Cooley Law School in Lansing, Mich. and a bachelor of business administration degree (management and business law) from Temple University in Philadelphia.
